Satya Nadella wants to build ‘The Ultimate Mobile Device’

Microsoft might be the best in terms of Desktop OS, but the company is still struggling to even come near to Android & iOS, which doesn’t seem possible as Android & iOS have in total 99.3% share in the market. One of the major reasons why Windows Phone failed might be Microsoft’s step to stop using Nokia’s branding. Because only Nokia’s name was the reason why Windows phones were selling so much. But now, Nokia is making its way to the market in 2017 with its new smartphones. Coming to today’s news, the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella has plans to build ‘The Ultimate Mobile Device’.

Here is what the CEO of Microsoft has said :

We don’t want to be driven by just envy of what others have, the question is, what can we bring? That’s where I look at any device form factor or any technology, even AI. We will continue to be in the phone market not as defined by today’s market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device.

Therefore [with Nokia assets], we stopped doing things that were me-too and started doing things, even if they are today very sub-scale, to be very focused on a specific set of customers who need a specific set of capabilities that are differentiated and that we can do a good job of.

Well, maybe Satya Nadella has given a little hint about what company is gonna do next but we still don’t know the full plan. There were some sources claiming that the company is looking into bringing x86 emulation for devices based on ARM64 to Windows 10 with Redstone 3. This, hopefully will enhance the Continuum feature on Windows 10 Mobile. Anyways, what do you think? Drop your views in the comments section down below. Cheers 🙂
