Samsung Galaxy S7 Active : Here is Everything You Need To Know!

Last year, the new ‘Active’ series of smartphones was introduced by Samsung through the S6 Active which was an amazing device because it was completely waterproof, dustproof and had a rugged design. So, you could take this device in rain or desert without any hesitation. Samsung has gone through the same this year also as the company launched the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. S7 Active retains the same features. You can take it with you in the pool or for camping in the desert without any worries as this device is also completely waterproof and dustproof! The S7 and S7 Edge are also water resistant but the S7 Active takes this term to a whole new level. SO, let’s go through the spec sheet of the device.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active features a rugged design, something we have already witnessed in the S6 Active. Unlike S7 and S7 Edge, there is no glass back. In fact, there is a textured back in the S7 Active which makes the phone easier to hold in the hand. The phone can withstand exte\reme conditions like dust, low pressure, extreme temperature and not to forget full submersion under water! No doubt the device is heavy but tough. It can easily bear drops from over 5 feets.

Coming to the display, the S7 Active has a 5.1 inch 1440 x 2560 Super AMOLED display so no worries about details and colors as the screen is crisp and bright like the S7 and S7 Edge. The screen is same what we saw on the S7 with AlwaysON Feature too. The only difference is that the S7 Active comes with a shatterproof screen which means it will not crack even it is dropped. Coming to the processor, the S7 Active is powered by a 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 Chip coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. So, S7 Active promises lag-free and buttery smooth performance for sure. There is an expandable 32GB of internal storage in the Galaxy S7 Active. Just like other specs, the camera is also been borrowed by the S7 as the S7 Active features a 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, LED Flash and OIS. The battery is something that is really big. The S7 Active comes with a 4,000 mAh battery which is even bigger than what we saw on the S7 Edge. So, the battery will not be a major issue in this device .
